Managing Consultant of Oakwood Green Capital Ltd charged with the responsibility of strategically positioning the firm to achieve its corporate objectives. Prior to this, he was the CEO of First Atlantic Bank Limited, where he tripled profits before tax over a three-year period. He is an astute and seasoned banker with over 23 years experience and a comprehensive understanding of doing business in Africa. He has been well exposed, during the course of his career, to strategic planning, mergers and acquisitions, credit, relationship management at both corporate and retail levels, balance sheet management, proprietary trading, cash management and structured trade.

Over the course of his career, he has held various key Management and Executive roles including CEO of Africa for United Bank for Africa Plc, a Pan-African bank with operations in 18 African countries, acquiring vast experience in dealing with policy makers, key industry leaders, and regulatory agencies locally, regionally and internationally. Prior to that, he was also the CEO of UBA Ghana Ltd, where he steered the bank to unprecedented profitability. He has held diverse senior management positions at Ecobank Nigeria Plc, Guaranty Trust Bank Plc and Capital Bank International Ltd.

Gabriel is a corporate turnaround expert, having engineered turnarounds in seven UBA operating subsidiaries including Ghana and First Atlantic Bank Ghana. These turnarounds have usually involved restructuring the lending portfolio to improve profitability and crafting strategies to improve balance sheet management.

He holds a Bachelor of Engineering degree in Civil Engineering and Masters in Business Administration.

Daniel Addo

Executive Director

Daniel is a Partner at Oakwood Green Capital Limited, but currently on appointment as the CEO of Consolidated Bank Ghana Limited. Before this, he was the Executive Director of First Atlantic Bank Limited with profit and loss and balance sheet responsibility for the strategic business units. He is an astute and seasoned banker with over 20 years experience, 12 of which have been in senior management positions in core banking. He is a member of the Institute of Chartered Accountants (Ghana) (ICA) with 22 years post qualification experience covering statutory audits, financial and management accounting, and corporate banking. He also holds an MBA (Finance) from the Manchester Business School.

Daniel’s career has seen him excel in various key Management and Executive roles in the last 12 years including as CEO of UBA Tanzania where he steered the bank to profitability within 24 months of resumption, acquiring vast experience in dealing with policy makers, key industry leaders, and regulatory agencies locally, regionally and internationally. He was also the Executive Director of UBA Ghana Ltd, where he co-steered the bank to unprecedented profitability. He held diverse senior management positions at Standard Chartered and KPMG.
